Art for Change

Own a piece of art that tells the story of resilience.
Each painting supports the documentary Hear, Eat, Home and immigrant communities.
Belarus-born, Sweden-based artist Ludmila Christeseva and Taiwanese American filmmaker Hsuan Yu Pan met in 2022 at a Ukrainian rally in Times Square. Both were creating art in response to war and displacement — Ludmila with her participatory artwork Home, woven by women from different countries, and Hsuan with her documentary The Other Side of the Sea.
Showcased at The Royal Armoury in Stockholm (2023) and at Healing Arts Week in New York City with the WHO and the Jameel Arts & Health Lab (2025), their collaboration deepened through the short film Weaving, which follows Ludmila and a group of Ukrainian refugee women as they transform pain into creative strength. United by a shared mission, Ludmila and Hsuan use art and storytelling to preserve memory, bridge cultures, and amplify voices of resilience.
In solidarity, Ludmila donated 11 paintings from her Restart Ukraine! series — created with children from Ukraine and Sweden — to support the completion of Hsuan’s feature documentary Hear, Eat, Home.
Together, their work celebrates the power of art to heal,
connect, and carry hope across borders.
