About Immigrants Act Now
Our Mission
Our mission at Immigrants Act Now is to inspire positive change in the immigration system through policy and legal reform. We strive to create a brighter and more welcoming future for all immigrants who come to the United States seeking a better life.
Recognizing the unique challenges faced by immigrants from diverse backgrounds, Immigrants Act Now aims to address these gaps and advocate for a more balanced and inclusive approach to immigration.
The current immigration system in the United States often falls short of providing justice and equal opportunities for immigrants of all backgrounds. This is why we are committed to fighting for equal opportunities and a sustainable quality of life for all immigrants. With the support of legislators and lawmakers who share our vision, we plan to leverage our knowledge and expertise in immigration matters to achieve our reform goals.

About HEAR, EAT, HOME
Story
The feature-length documentary Hear, Eat, Home tells the stories of musicians and visual artists from diverse immigrant backgrounds who have made the USA their home. At its heart is Syrian composer and clarinetist Kinan Azmeh, whose journey of displacement and identity anchors the film. Through their art and collaborations, these artists express themes of conflict, belonging, and identity. They also connect over homemade dishes from their homelands, creating a poignant and heartfelt narrative that mirrors the complexities of the immigrant experience. We are raising funds to bring the film to immigrant communities and share the message. (More about HEAR, EAT, HOME)
We have produced several short films with similar themes. One such short is My Mother's Table, which features Kurdish refugees—a mother and her daughter—who introduce their home city of Aleppo, Syria, through their passion for cooking. (Film Review)
Key Message
Our goal is to foster communication and collaboration between neighbors, sharing the hopes, dreams, and challenges of immigrants in the US. Through personal stories, we celebrate cultural identities and emphasize that despite differences in culture, religion, and background, we can come together and support one another. We hope our audience will be inspired by the featured artists and their stories to share their own experiences and build bridges between communities.
