Ukraine and Taiwan have much in common such as the threats from the neighboring countries, so to center their relation to each other, we are bringing Taiwanese identity to European audiences on the first anniversary of Russia's Invasion of Ukraine on Feb 24, 2022, and Taiwan's Peace Memorial Day on Feb 28 in a screening of On The Other Side of the Sea.

 

We are hosting a very important discussion between Taiwanese filmmaker Hsuan Yu Pan and Scene Taiwan, a Scottish organization that celebrates Taiwanese films in Europe. Dmitri Vasserman from the People's Embassy of Belarus, and Belarusian-Swedish artist Ludmila Christeseva, featured in the film, will discuss the Swedish reaction to the film and exhibit "Crafts that Unite, Heal, and Last" at Livrustkammaren, which took place during Stockholm Design Week, Feb 7-12, 2023.
