July Campaign:
Support the Film & Bring Home Art by Lola Sáenz
Join our July circle and celebrate an original painting by museum-collected artist Lola Sáenz (whose work is held in four permanent collections, including the 9/11 Memorial Museum).
-
Step 1: Donate to the Film (Tax-Deductible)
Every $\$600+$ donation this month directly funds our critical technical post-production via our fiscal sponsor, Women Make Movies (making your gift fully tax-deductible).
-
Step 2: Join the Art Drawing (Optional)
As a personal "thank you" gesture separate from WMM, every $\$600+$ donor can secure a numbered ball in our July lottery box. Participation is completely optional—just let us know if you prefer to opt out!

The Live Gathering:
At the end of July, we will gather live at an East Village café to bring the community together and draw the name of the person who will take the painting home (with an IG livestream for long-distance backers). Location TBD. *Shipping or local pickup coordinated directly with the recipient. (US only)
ABOUT LOLA SÁENZ
I am a Latina self-taught artist.
I've developed several bodies of artwork, focused on self-portraits and life in New York City. I also paint small abstracts. My compositions often convey sensory impressions of the elemental shaped colors and emotions central to the act of perception. I use my artwork to express notions of location and dislocation, joy and loss and distortion. I also create Documentary inspired art. And I sometimes add poetry or words to my paintings to add more meaning.
The result is Art that speaks all languages.
I have paintings in four Museum Collections. The 9/11 Memorial Museum was the last to collect my paintings.
